Office of Commercial Affairs/Thai Trade Center Royal Thai Embassy

Ms. Supranee Kongkiatkamon
Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General

The Thai Trade Center in Singapore is honored and pleased to congratulate the Singapore Fruits and Vegetables Importers & Exporters Association (SFVIEA) on its SFVIEA 56th Members’ Directory. We believe this latest directory edition will provide essential contact and information that will continue to contribute to Singapore’s food supply expansion in fruits and vegetables.

Singapore has always been a great trading nation and one of Thailand’s most important trading partners in the region and in the world. Despite global economic challenges caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, total trade between Singapore and Thailand in 2021 reached over US$18 Billion with Thailand’s exports to Singapore at US$ 9.5 Billion and the imports at US$7.5 Billion. This is a great achievement between Thailand and Singapore considering this pandemic brought about multiply restrictions and supply chain disruption in one way or another.

Thailand is blessed with many natural resources; and this makes agriculture our important sector. Agricultural products in Thailand are not produced only for our own consumption but also many countries in the world including Singapore. Thailand stands ready to cooperate with Singapore to ensure food security and sustainability of the two countries and our region.

On this occasion, Thai Trade Center in Singapore would like to praise SFVIEA for its importance and dedication, as well as to thank SFVIEA for the cooperation accorded to us in order to create mutual economic benefits and friendship. We will strive to continue working closely with SFVIEA to source products that serve Singapore’s changing demands of consumers and Singapore’s government policy.
