I extend my heartfelt congratulations to SFVIEA on its remarkable growth and achievements over the years. It is praiseworthy that you have grown into a major trade association with a business relations network of over 50 countries. Your dedication to fostering a vibrant trade network has significantly contributed to the flourishing fruits and vegetables sector in Singapore.
As you continue to strengthen this important industry, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Pakistan which is among the largest agricultural producers in the world. Renowned for its high-quality fresh fruits, including mangoes, oranges, and apples, as well as an array of exquisite dry fruits, Pakistan is also celebrated for its Basmati rice and other premium brands which are exported globally.
I firmly believe that there are significant opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration between Pakistan and Singapore in this critical sector. Singapore can greatly benefit from the diverse, high-quality and sustainable produce that Pakistan has to offer.
