Regional Agricultural Counselor

Agricultural Attaché
We are delighted to offer our heartiest congratulations to the Singapore Fruits and Vegetables Importers and Exporters Association (SFVIEA) on the occasion of their 56th anniversary. The United States was Singapore’s top supplier of fresh fruit and 6th largest supplier of consumer-oriented food and beverage products in 2021. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) highly values SFVIEA’s efforts to support this robust trade. We also greatly appreciate the pivotal role SFVA member companies play in introducing U.S. products to Singapore consumers.
The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Office in Singapore is part of a network of 100 FAS offices worldwide that work to link high quality U.S. agriculture products to our global customers. Along with working closely with local government on trade policy and regulatory issues, our office partners with several U.S. fruit and vegetable associations to promote our products in the Singapore market. The strong bond SFVIEA members have developed with these trades associations (e.g. the California Table Grape Commission, Washington State Fruit Commission {Northwest Cherries}, the Washington Apple Commission, Sunkist Growers, Idaho Potato Commission and the U.S. Apple Export Council) has served to support a broad range of livelihoods within the food and agricultural industries in both of our countries.
To all of the officials and members of the SFVIEA, we thank you for the years of friendship, business, communication, and cooperation and we look forward to working closely with each and every one of you in the future.
